"Clown" is the first word that jumps to mind...

The Paul family and all the other strict libertarians are Very Serious People who should be taken Very Seriously when they spew complete idiotic crap

baleen
They're American Party Libertarians, not actual libertarians. It's about as different as socialism and national socialism, similar only phonetically.

Lurchi
Who are these actual libertarians?

Big Muddy
Ron Paul is to the American Lib Party what Fred Phelps is to Westboro Baptist.

Bowling Green: Shitty University, even shittier politicians.

I can only assume by this point that the Republican Party is made exclusively of incredibly effective radical anarchists.
cognitivedissonance
There is no implied threat of force, you idiot. You are free to stop offering services at any time, and therefore depriving yourself of the money you'd get for said services.

But, of course, you already have, because you haven't been licensed in roundabout a decade.

Libertarians are all parasites.
Cena_mark
you just call them that because they're not. Rand Paul is a succssful man who contributes much to society. He's a doctor and a congressman. The true parasites are the welfare brood mares.

longwinded
hey cena i love your work normally but don't step into that crap about welfare brood mothers

if you can't make a point without a racist caricature don't

Born in the RSR
Cena, do you think that the metaphor Rand Paul used to describe free health care is appropriate or accurate? Disregarding his success as a politician or doctor or whatever he is.

TheOtherCapnS
Haha, being a congressman (and an unlicensed physician to boot!) means you aren't a parasite? Riiiight... Do you even read what you type? You could be a much more effective troll by toning down the dumbfuckitude just a smidgen. Oh wait, you probably can't...

Cena_mark
Shortwinded: When did I say anything about race? I just merely refer to women who make their livings reproducing and getting child support from the government. If that produces a particular racial image in your head then I guess you are the racist.
Porn in the RSR: I was merely responding to Cammy's dumbass comment. As far as his metaphor is concerned, I find it to be a bit far fetched.
Theotherdumbass: How is what I said wrong? The guy makes a living for himself and gives back to society. What makes him and other libertarians parasites?

Born in the RSR
The only reason I said anything was because I was curious what pun you'd make with my name. Never change Cena! We love you!

baleen
Cena, you're really stupid. :D

Mother_Puncher
I think he meant a moral parasite, mark. Basically, this man's goal is utterly demonize everything about a public healthcare option in favor of our fucked up system as it is by over-dramatizing it to help people "understand" that this thing is as bad as the thing he compares it to. Hell if he's going to go ahead and make blind statements he might as well said that universal healthcare is the same thing as the holocaust because they are both bi-products of socialism. I know his and your party's ideology is something as asinine as "governement bad" but come on. A public option is a no-brainer. And blaming these "welfare brood mares" being the real parasites is the same limp-wristed argument as job loss being the fault of illegal immigrants coming here and taking our jobs when the real problem is companies out-sourcing all of the labor overseas. Rand Paul openly fights any kind of progress that would actually help people and not just a percentage of people. I don't expect you to agree with any of this and I've probably just been trolled but I just want to know that your views aren't very well thought out. Thank you.

Cena_mark
Thanks for that rundown on false libertarian stereotypes you believe.

cognitivedissonance
He hasn't been in a doctor in a very, very long time, because he doesn't believe "licenses" are Constitutional.

Mother_Puncher
What else is there to go by? Are there secret libertarians out there who don't believe in stupid bullshit? I have yet to see otherwise and people like Rand Paul just reinforce that "stereotype".

Big Muddy
Who wins in the battle against the broodmares? Oh ya, nobody because we took away their reproductive rights. The Paul's have infected your brain like a Parasitic Gordian Worm, boy.

Mother_Puncher
It's funny that he totally misunderstands what slavery entails since he's from Kentucky
zurvan
Actually, he's from Pittsburgh and grew up in Texas. That hasn't stopped him from doing everything he can to drag Kentucky more backwards than it already is.

fatatty
That's why all those slave doctors in France are fleeing the country for America right?
kingarthur
Man, I can't tell you how many doctors we have falling off the boats here from Britain, Spain, France, Norway, Denmark, Germany, etc...

seriouslyuguys
Someone should inform the public school teachers that they're all slaves. Not to mention the postal workers, police, fire department, millitary, and countless other government workers.
Cena_mark
I did give up many of my rights to join the service. Technically the UCMJ owns me.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious
You joined the Coast Guard, dumbass.

Cena_mark
I'm still subject to the UCMJ dumbass. You know nothing about the Coast Guard. I took the Oath of Enlistment in the presence of an Army Officer with people joining the other branches. I'm just as military as they are.

kamlem
Who wants to be the one to tell him than any legal contract is also slavery, by his idiotic definition.
SteamPoweredKleenex
What's even more ironic is that by working for most companies, you're often giving up constitutional rights (most especially free speech), even when not in the workplace. The corporate dick-sucking 'libertarians' seem to think that it's all hunky-dory if your employer decides to fire you if you keep a blog or if they decide what you do off the clock isn't to their liking.

Zarathustra00
Someone should point out to him that the Constitution did allow slavery, specifically to get the ratification votes from certain states. Now if you'll excuse me, my last act as a resident of Kentucky shall be to go beat this man's door down and make him service me with free health care.

Cratovic
"Now if you'll excuse me, my last act as a resident of Kentucky shall be to go beat this man's door down and make him service me with free health care."

Sounds like the plot to a Swiss porn film.

Robin Kestrel
"I'm a physician."

You're a self-certified ophthalmologist, Rand.

al franken gets all the hot babes to post up behind him, rand paul gets some twitchy broad who looks like chaka from land of the lost
dystopianfuturetoday
Well, if you want to look at actual slavery in the US instead of metaphorical slavery, you'd easily see that under-regulated labor markets allowed and even encouraged the use of enslaved human beings. Big bad government regulation actually ended the practice. Of course this probably means little to the Paul family politicians who think that Lincoln could have avoided the civil war if only he'd agreed to buy the enslaved human beings back from their owners.
Runic
Five stars for evil. My teeth hurt you capitalist fuck!
Big Muddy
If I had the gall to construct an analogy so preposterous, and were so glib in making it my official stance, I might expect to be under serious scrutiny for a psych evaluation.
Bort
First he goes on about how the right to health care is slavery, which he then goes on to counter by referencing "our founding documents". Hey asshole, "our founding documents" made slavery entirely legal.
