I'd piss on some dead taliban. Kind of stupid to tape it though.
You know you wouldn't piss on a dead body, come on.
yeah I know it's a thing I do with gomorrah's posts.

After I read the headline this morning I knew this would be up here. I can't rate it though because I really wish such things didn't exist and that I had never seen them.
Also, I don't want us to be ogrish, so lets leave human death videos to other communities, please.
Jet Bin Fever
human or animal... I just saw the sheep one... fuck!
Human death videos are actually prohibited in the rules, but nobody seems to follow them anymore.

5 stars for the stupidity involved in the choice to record this on video.

Of all the horrible things we have done in those countries, and of all the horrible things the taliban stands for, the hysterics over this video only demonstrate how superficial the body politic is.

S'okay to kill em, just don't piss on em.
It's peculiar that we encourage people to kill, but that corpses must be treated with the utmost respect. In Iraq we were forbidden from taking photos of the people we'd killed (we did anyway); it would have shocked the good Christian folks back home who'd voted for the war. It would have been in poor taste.
War is disgusting enough without candy-coating it in a greasy layer of piety.
Well a dead body isn't your enemy any more, it's a mirror to your own mortality. Or have we learned nothing from Sophocles?
We train young men to drop fire on people. But their commanders won't allow them to write "fuck" on their airplanes because it's obscene.
Treating the body of your slain enemy with respect is something that goes back to ancient times, and there's a good reason for it.
When Achilles dragged the body of Hector around the walls of Troy behind his chariot, it was the ultimate insult to the Trojans.
There is supposed to be honor in battle. Soldiers are not supposed to be rage filled apes. They are warriors doing a job at the behest of their country and their people. If it a war of personal hatred then there is no end to it. Disrespecting a corpse like that is disrespecting the family, friends, culture and nation that person came from. Especially in an arena where we're supposed to be "winning hearts & minds", this is more than counterproductive.
I am okay with not being okay with peeing on corpses. I do realize that it sort of highlights the absurdity of war and et cetera but I just think that peeing on the bodies of the fallen is a gesture that should not be encouraged.
More than viewing this as an 'offense' though I think it's a pretty telling symptom of the mental malfunction in the American armed forces culture. This sort of thing is viewed as so normal it's on par with one of those videos where they dance to pop songs with their rifles. It speaks to what people paying attention already knew, that these guys are fucking nuts.
The Taliban's official statement on this by the way was basically 'who gives a shit.'
Pissing on corpses is not viewed as normal in the armed forces.
A friend of mine who was stationed in Iraq 5 or 6 years ago was given a CD-R with about 800 photos of dead Iraquis on it as a souvenir when he was done with that tour of duty. Lots of people got them.
Yes, my brother told me that the Iraqis on his ship, who were our allies, were incessantly made to feel horrible by many of his coworkers. He confronted them about it but this is just the kind of insanity that war creates. Most people in the armed forces are just trying to do their jobs and get home in one piece.

Pissing on the taliban hospitality i see.

I hate all the comments going around this video about having issue with pissing on corpses but not with killing the people in the first place. It's war. It's regrettable that people have to die, but it's understandable when you're in a situation when others are trying to kill you as well. Desecrating corpses is never understandable and is inexcusable. It is a slap in the face to a whole culture that is based off of religion and that believes in an afterlife, sanctity of the dead, etc. These four marines are just as bad as Muslims that had dragged American bodies through the streets and burned them in public.
actually no, the marines are worse, since the bodies drug through the streets in Iraq were mercenary invader filth
The issue is the default attitude that every death over there is justified with people cheering at drone camera footage like it was the super bowl. Yes corpse pissing is awful by itself, but it's fucking absurd how the same public outraged over this will gladly write off missile strikes on weddings.
And am I the only one who thinks the marines are the absolute worst branch to use for hearts and minds occupation?

Animals piss on things. Some of them may even be sexually aroused by it.

Jan 2012: "What an outrage!"
June 2012: "Yeah, I think I remember hearing about that."

My entire tour in Iraq was like this: we'd kill someone and pee on them. Every time. Hell, we'd even do it with living people; we'd just walk up to someone and pee on them. It wasn't difficult to do since we drank water all the fucking time.
You know, it's not hard to picture the entire country of Iraq like a 13-year old girl and the Marines like R. Kelly.
Ah, good times.

In the words of the Klingons, dispose of the body as you will. It is merely a shell now.

If you encounter any Boers
You really must not loot 'em,
And if you wish to leave these shores
For pity's sake don't film yourself urinating on their corpses!
