WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2012-07-17

I like the part where they show a little kid being forced into a gang with threats of violence and then moments later kids barely older than he is are righteously massacred in the name of justice.

WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2012-07-17

Oh, and the dogwhistle racism of calling the black thugs "savages"!

StanleyPain - 2012-07-17

Wow, this is fucking awful.
The imitation Nolan-style directing...the awful forced 2:35:1-on-a-non-anamorphic-camera...the ripping off Hans Zimmer soundtrack...and then CG squibs? God...

And, what the fuck, how is this related to Punisher? The real Punisher would just mow everyone down with a mini-gun and go back to doing his laundry.

TimidAres - 2012-07-17

I thought it was pretty decent for something that had such a small budget. The desaturated colors were ugly. I mean, I know there was a point, but it just looked wrong, especially when the gang leader's face started to glow about halfway through.
Sure, aftereffects have made film-making effortless, and scenes treated with the program are so easy to spot.
But, still thought it was good.

Ive seen a lot worse, thats for sure.

Meatsack Jones - 2012-07-17

As I say to all cheeto beards...do better.

fedex - 2012-07-17

man those black guys are apparently all made out of squibs and papier mache, they just pop if you step on 'em

TimidAres - 2012-07-17

East Side Pinatas ya'll.

takewithfood - 2012-07-17

One tiny step better than those god awful Mortal Kombat webisodes.

Nikon - 2012-07-17

I thought this version of the Punisher waited way too long to start taking criminals apart.

chairsforcheap - 2012-07-17

the pacing was absolutely dreadful. Too clever by half.

FABIO - 2012-07-17

Compared to the actual Thomas Jane version? I think that think went an entire half hour before Frank's family was killed.

Warzone on the other hand knew not to waste your time. Open up with slaughtering, keep the family to a brief blurry flashback.

CornOnTheCabre - 2012-07-17

Lexi Alexander: still reigning Punisher movie champ.

chairsforcheap - 2012-07-17

completely agreed

Nikon - 2012-07-17

I feel the same way. I'd love for her to adapt some of Remender's weirder work with the character (Dark Reign, Frankecastle, the upcoming alliance with Uncanny X-Force, etc. )

FABIO - 2012-07-17

Fuck! Wasted comment above.

It's like she read my mind with Punisher Warzone. "Why are they taking so long with killing Thomas Jane's family? This shit should have gotten a thirty second flashback TOPS."

Lexi delivers.

engrish muffin - 2012-07-17

It's called "dirty laundry" and laundry seems like a big theme so why is he putting the dirty laundry in a dryer was this made by goony neckbeards who do laundry at their mom's house and don't know how a laundromat works? yesitdefinitelywas

CornOnTheCabre - 2012-07-17

naw, it was made by Thomas Jane, who is too rich to know how a laundromat works, but still had to do "Laundry Dad" first to get this funded.

TheSupafly - 2012-07-17

I just want my laundry back.

FABIO - 2012-07-17

I guess you could say he was doing darks that day.

(I'm so sorry)

candyheadrobot - 2012-07-31

Last time I checked, Punisher dealt with much more intimidating threats than a bunch of guys who want a little kid to sell drugs SOOO bad that they give him a boot party. Or was that supposed to be a prelude to rape? Also, thanks for letting me down on the race tip Hellboy. Isn't Perlman's wife black? Tom Jane can remain being the poor man's Hugh Jackman, if this is all he can rustle up.
