There is a cut at the beginning, during which he says "here's how it looks like" and plays 20 seconds of GS. In retrospect, I should have submitted one with that bit.

Yea, since he's speaking in Korean it means nothing. wow.
This is a toxic level of old-fogeyness. amazing.
Oh my, Ablow wrote a kid's book? And it wasn't published? I can't imagine why. 5 flabbergasted stars.
I used to be with 'it', but then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm with isn't 'it', and what's 'it' seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.
There sure are a lot of ugly people in your neighborhood. Ooh, look at that one. Ow, my glaucoma just got worse. The president is a Democrat! Hello?

"It's like a drug?" Elvis...? Fuck these old racist farts.

Have you guys ever read the book, "The O'Reilly Factor For Kids"? That's a real thing. I'm totally not making it up. Look it up on if you don't believe me.
Anyway, I've read it before. It's got this one chapter on Popular Music. Basically, ol' Bill starts off by telling his readership that he's all hip and cool and totally "gets" the stuff that young people are groovin with these days. But being mean to women is totally UNcool, so teenagers, don't go listening to that Eminem garbage! And he proceedes on from there, pretty much like how you'd expect.
Does Bill think any youths actually read that book? It was bought by many grandparents for their grandkids, upon which the books immediately spent the next few years unread under a pile of clutter before ultimately ending up at a Goodwill.

This song is actually a pretty harsh satire of the shallow nature of modern South Korean society. Gangnam is Seoul's trendiest and richest neighborhood, and living "Gangnan style" is a popular trend where people act as if they were from there, which usually means spending far beyond their means.
Psy's song is a condemnation of all that. He's acting like a parody of the typical Gangnan Style hipster and showing how goofy and artificial the whole thing is.
What I'm saying here is that the silly dancing man on the Youtubes is more clever and insightful than Bill O'Reilly ever was.
In Bilbo's defense, non-Koreans would have no clue about any of that stuff unless they read the song's Wikipedia page (which, incidentally, is currently longer than the articles on most third world nations). Since the majority of Gangnam views are coming from people with no prior experience in the high octane world of KPop, I submit that he's probably right on that point, and that most people are watching it because, well, it's just a fat dude doing a horsey dance.
Personally, I'm surpised he's not hailing it as a triumph of South Korean materialism and conspicious consumption, over the doom and gloom of North Korean/ Obamin socialism. Because seriously, who wouldn't feel proud that a Western nation could survive a fifty year long war with the commies and still find the time to invent such a badass horsey dance?
Considering that described Psy as "some guy from Pyongyang," I don't think Billo is aware that there's North AND a South Korea.
Hooker- maybe Bill O'Reilly is a post-structuralist? Who knows?

Fox News, a simulation of a news agency airing a views of contributor who is spitting up dumbed down Baudrillard. This is a fractal of meaninglessness, a DMT-like mandala of dead signifiers, and I am only making it worse.

Bill is really doing a great job of rebutting the racism charges from when he said politics in America is going downhill due to lazy and entitled minorities outnumbering the hard-working and good white establishment.
Just like how our music in America is going downhill because people are watching Koreans from "Pyongyang" with their nonsense words, who look different than us, rather than musicians like Elvis who had the decency to be white and speak English.
Even though he has been letting the racism slip out more lately, the overwhelming tone of this isn't racial as much as bitter jealousy.
Bill has always justified himself against attacks on his honesty and integrity by citing his high ratings, and Fox's ratings. He wouldn't be popular if he wasn't great. But the second someone or something he doesn't understand is more popular than him, "America is going down the toilet!"
Oh, Ablow's not a psychologist. He presents himself as one, but has no medical certification. Because his job is to say literally whatever Fox wants him to.
The American Psychiatric Association have basically said that if he were a member, they'd kick him out for unethically giving diagnoses of celebrities and politicians on Fox as if it's based on medicine. Like when he said that Joe Biden was a senile alcoholic, while Newt's three marriages show that he'll be a great president, such that women will want him for multiple terms.
My favorite is when he attacked a woman as a child abuser, because she took a photo where she painted her son's toenails pink. He said blue and pink gender norms are "part of the magnificent synergy that creates and sustains the human race". It's like what a bigoted hippie would come out with.
Let's forget the fact that 100 years ago, blue was the color for girls and pink for boys. WE CAN'T DISRUPT THE MAGNIFICENT SYNERGY!
Thomas Ricks showed what happens when you put an actual expert on their program.

Korean is a language, the song is a satire...if Keith Albow took 5 seconds to research his material beforehand he would have known better. JEEZUS christ. 5 stars for utter incompetence. Also Pyongyang is in BEST FUCKING KOREA not SOUTH FUCKING KOREA.

I was here in Korea for the Summer of Psy, when this song first exploded. People here love it because it talks about the issue of class and doesn't take itself too seriously. It's very tongue in cheek, and it brings a whole new celebration to Korean humor, which tends to be very subtle, and especially might fail to translate to someone who remembers when Korea was still a bunch of feudal kingdoms, and was jealous of the fact that Gwangju was the third largest country in the world and building astronomical observatories and had comprehensive knowledge of herbology while his little neck of the woods could barely comprehend the idea of medicine or mathematics.
Also, Korean words aren't meaningless gibberish. It's one of those, god what's the word I'm looking for? LANGUAGES. With, you know, extensive rules on grammar and vocabulary.
My Old Fart Meter just broke.

You should see Bill's biting criticism of the inherent nihilism and schadenfreude of "Charlie bit my finger".
Also, 5 stars for the psychologist blaming his poor book sales on PSY.
Yeah, weird bitter old man rants against innocuous popular YouTube videos isn't new for him.

It's nice to have a constant.
