And if Doom had been done in the early 80s ... ? Presenting "Doom: The Text Adventure":
printf("DOOM: THE TEXT ADVENTURE\n\n");
printf("You are standing in a large chamber. You see a demon ");
printf("flying toward you.\n ] ");
string_in[strlen(string_in)] = '##CONTENT##';
if (strcmp(string_in, "FIRE") == 0)
printf("The demon falls to the ground and fades away.");
else printf("I don't know how to %s!", string_in);
PoeTV just broke my beautiful beautiful source code. I'll never write in C again.
I don't know how to USE STRICMP YOU MONG!
Part 2 is just as insightful
Is this what Call of Duty is like? The last video game I really played was Vice City back in the day.....
Just so we're clear, I don't mean that as a joke. At first I thought this video was going to be all sarcasm and hyperbole, you know, Old Gamer taking the piss out of New Game with a combination of cheap shots and exaggerations. But having watched it, the resemblance is actually pretty uncanny, especially in Part 2.
This is so fucking masterful. Part 2 is almost better.

I don't want to type spoilers, but I really enjoyed this. The voices are really hilarious too.
If by "call of duty" you mean "everything except the ac-130 has been done before CoD1 or MW1 came out".
yeah let's pretend to be dumb because we're pedantic internet nerds
that doesn't work on what i said

For the achievements.
Watching this, I keep expecting him to take every free second to reload a clip.
And I realize what an annoying standard that's become.
The whole reload-with-every-spare-secong thing infuriates the sperglord inside of me, BECAUSE MAGAZINES DONT WORK LIKE THAT YOU FUCKERS
Maybe in 5 years we'll get the next step in shooter realism with a QTE mini-game to scrounge individual bullets from all your half full clips.
