Xenocide - 2013-12-03 "You take up a job...to buy a house, or to raise kids, or to impress your dad. You work away your life, and what do you get? You get cash. Cash that can't buy back what the job takes away."
-Actual dialog from this show for kids
Steven Universe is fantastic, and it's only getting better with each new episode.
Shoebox Joe - 2013-12-05 I think Cartoon Network finally got a good connection when they used the internet and decided to hire indie content, but I'd have to say the fact that they found and are branching off from Pendleton's circle is what is really helping.
Uncle Grandpa is okay, but it's literally a comix author (and if I'm assuming correctly, turned his own stuff to be available to kids) being subdued in the same way John K was hired by Nickelodeon. They want something different but don't want the prevalent anger tagging along.
misterbuns - 2013-12-03 Really disagree with all of the design changes the network made. Especially to Garnet.
It's more homogenized now.
But this show is.great.
WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2013-12-03 I like it. Garnet has a much more distinctive silhouette (wide hips balanced out by huge hair) instead of looking like a taller version of Pearl, and Pearl's face is way more expressive.
misterbuns - 2013-12-11 There is already a curvy character.
The gizmo with this show was feeling like steven really didnt fit in with these pro bad ass women. Garnet was the apotheosis of that.
Garnet was an otherworldly bad ass and had design to go along with it.
who was a black woman.
you never see that.
Now she resembles another character.
Networks gotta noodle
