"a good guy with an iphone" joke
CornOnTheCabre - 2013-12-20
oh whatever, like anyone in Seattle could stop being passive agressive on the bus for long enough to actually shoot anyone
I just moved back here to take care of my folks (they're old and sick). So many feelings.
yeahhh. There's a bar here with a Shadows Over Mystara machine in it now. So we have that.
Nice to be back in a town where everybody says "Pardon me" in a grocery store while they seethe with quiet disdain for you being in their way. I walked in front of a dude looking at yogurt and he reacted to me, like, what, "no interaction?"
Yes, guy looking at yogurt, my sole purpose is to fucking get by and get my groceries, I don't care if for a moment your perfect yogurt view was interrupted.
It drives me up the fucking wall. I feel like I'm reverting into northwest mush person.
Probably the miserable weather. The northwest always struck me as a super concentration of all the worst traits of insular yippies. I'd shoot myself if I had to live there more than a season.
I wish I could disagree. I just have to find something to love about this place again, I am required to be here for quite some time. Maybe I'll find a nice lady.

Trains are loud, and it doesn't look like anyone else noticed either. He did deftly pocket his phone during the confrontation though. I love the part where the glasses girl is ten times braver than head on haul pussy ass towards the camera guy.
"You're hurting me!"
Oh wait, this is a bus. Okay, maybe no one gave a shit then.

That savage white man is raining MMA style blows down upon his poor black victim! Fortunately, the victim has a gun.
Quick, Trevonnte! Stand your ground!
Look Gmork, the boy was clearly hopped up on Starbucks and Angry Birds. You know how caffeine and videogames make white people behave.
So what was your point?
That you are quick to ignore key factors (drug habits, interest in fighting) that would normally come under scrutiny. Especially when it's been established the only evidence of physical violence was present on zimmerman. The gunshot came after, as established by the audio evidence - unless you believe martin was the one being beaten on that tape, which the evidence doesn't support.
So if you aren't refuting the order in which it happened, how can you conclude that it was zimmerman who initiated an ill-advised fistfight with a much stronger, more youthful opponent like Martin? I thought we'd already established zimmerman was a coward? Stands to reason martin sized him up, and was about to give him a deserved assbeating. It ended tragically, with martin dead and zimmerman without a fractured jaw. I'm just miffed that you're not giving any benefit of the doubt based on credible evidence that an overly aggressive attitude based on verifiable habits of Martin's have led him to make an error or two in his own judgment that night. He may be responsible for doing more than walking away and minding his own business. Nobody should have died, but they did. It's tragic, but you don't have to pretend I'm a devil made entirely out of gun parts because I pointed out something you didn't feel like acknowledging was true (aforementioned drug habits and interest in fighting). The second I said that I was instantly evil. Why? It's true. You can look at all the Treyvon Martin facebooking your little heart desires. Where we disagree is that you give zero benefit of the doubt to the possibility those habits and personal interests could have had an affect on the events that transpired that night.
It's alright, I still love you quick-to-exile bastards.
Whoops - I said "Nobody should have died that night. But they did"." Obviously that should have read - "But he did" (referring to martin). There's no excuse for shitty grammar.
"That you are quick to ignore key factors (drug habits, interest in fighting) that would normally come under scrutiny."
Oh, we don't -- we do note Zimmerman's genuine interest in fighting, to the point of training for a long period of time, and contrast against Trayvon's lack of any actual MMA training beyond what right-wing crank sites tell you. And as for drug habits, it's not lost on us that Martin's choice of drugs was marijuana -- which tends to make a person mellow, not violent -- and Zimmerman was on Temazepam, whose side effects include aggressiveness. Not that Zimmerman was tested on the spot for alcohol or drugs in his system, which is a shame, because it could have been revealing.
"how can you conclude that it was zimmerman who initiated an ill-advised fistfight with a much stronger, more youthful opponent like Martin?"
Nobody is accusing Zimmerman of being a rational wealth-maximizer, who regularly performed cost / benefit analyses before taking action. He was a dumb fuckup with a history of punching cops and raping cousins, and who (for whatever reason) decided this was the night to stalk some kid who happened to be one of the few black residents of Sanford.
Also, Trayvon was "much stronger"? The kid wasn't a body builder, he didn't work out at a gym.
"overly aggressive attitude based on verifiable habits of Martin's"
Of MARTIN'S ... ? Jesus fucking Christ, there's only one person there with a genuine history of aggressive attitudes, and it was Zimmerman.
GMork, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, so I'm going to leave it up to you. Are you bending over backwards to defend Zimmerman because you're a fucking shitheaded racist afraid to confront his assumptions about which skin color was in the wrong, or because you're a fucking shitheaded gun nut who fantasizes about being able to shoot people with no criminal penalties? If you like, you can fess up to both.
A devil made entirely out of gun parts would at least be clear and concise about it's opinions. Also; quick-to-exile? The fuck are you talking about? Nobody's telling you to leave or trying to get you banned (that I know of). We're just stridently disagreeing with you (on 1% of 'teh issues', according to you).
Yeah, there's a pretty big difference between being quick-to-exile (something we've completely forgotten how to do), and being hostile and alienating (something we've never had an alternative for).

That lady in the pink's lucky she didn't take one in the head when buddy grabbed the gun.
Shit, is it pink? Colourblind here. The lady behind the scuffle, anyways.

Aww man, I thought that said "armed robot"

Didn't really strike me as "protecting his iPhone" so much as reacting from raw instinct at the shock of having a gun shoved in his face before his brain had time to process what was really going on.
Anyway, we need to rub vigilante videos like this in the gun nuts' big stupid faces. A guy without a gun took down a guy with a gun and nobody died or was even seriously injured.
I guarantee the outcome would have been different if one of the other passengers had whipped out a gun.
I got a why boner when glasses girl jumped into the fray.
The fact nobody was shot while he was grabbing the gun is lucky.

All I know is that when I was watching this real life video of life and death situations with people reacting violently to someone using the threat of deadly violence to commit crimes, thank goodness I didn't have to hear any bad words.
That guy - 2013-12-21
I want to guess that the robber's not in his right mind... this goes beyond 'bad amateur criminal' territory.
FABIO - 2013-12-21
Was the gun even loaded? Or did the guy just choose not to shoot?
