If you don't watch the entire thing and enjoy it you're no son of mine.

Is that Roy Estrada there occasionally playing bass?
Mr. Purple Cat Esq.
I've been told by several people that I'd probably like above. But so far I have *not liked* everything I've heard. Its like they have managed to combine the vagueness of jazz with the blandness of rock. btw I really like Sun Ra and Can for example. Anwyay I havent listened to much cpn beffheart. Someone convince me how wrong I am!

Lock yourself in a closet and listen to Orange Claw Hammer on a loop for a few days.

My dad used to play Trout Mask Replica a lot and I hated it when I was a kid. Because, you know, Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails.. I started doing acid and listening to a lot of Pussy Galore and Tom Waits a few years later and I totally got it :)

Hair pie bake 1, Pena, Fallin ditch, ella guru, Veterans Day poppy, woe is a me bop, bellerin plain, Japan in a dishpan, all incredible ones to check out. Trout mask replica just blows my mind completely, the guitar and drum work has this amazing disjionted blues/jazz/punk sound that was way ahead of its time. Rockette Morton's bass playing is some of the most unique ever ...

I like Ice Cream for Crow, Autmn's Child, Tropical Hot Dog Night and Moonlight on Vermont.

When I was a kid my second cousin got kicked out of my grandma's house because he was always smoking pot. Or maybe he forgot he lived there or something. Anyway he left a couple of records behind and one of them was Frank Zappa's Burnt Weenie Sandwich and I think it really made me more receptive to sounds that were not of the mainstream.

tldr: these guys are good musicians!

And the mice played in its airholes and valves.

I'm gonna spend the next hour trying to mash up the slidy guitar line buildup around 9:30 with eutow by autechre.
