Looks like some other Rube Goldberg game. Also looks like it works better than Mousetrap ever worked for me.. maybe they just used better materials in the 60s.
There's not much info on BoardGameGeeks, but it came out a scant three years after Mouse Trap, so my guess is it was an attempt to make a Mouse Trap clone.
One of my older cousins got a talking Viewmaster for Christmas one year. It looked like a Viewmaster welded to an early answering machine.
The paper picture discs were attached to a little translucent white vinyl record. You would insert them in the top of the unit then look through the little binoculars while pointing it at a light source, just like a regular Viewmaster.
When you pressed a switch on the side, the record would start playing. When it was time to switch to the next scene, a little tone would sound and you had to do so manually by pulling the lever down.
I try to tell my nephews how lucky they are to have their Kindle Fires, but they can't seem to get what I'm saying. I should buy a talking Viewmaster off eBay to illustrate my point.
