Dude, if you're going to play with electricity, how about clearing a space around you in case you fall down, and how about moving the small child to another room?
Wikipedia says they're 300-400 volts but not known to be dangerous to humans, so the current must be really low. high voltage at low current will feel bad but that's it.
What if he falls on the kid after he gets shocked?? Didn't think of that, did ya? Shitface.
Bonus question: Would pissing on the electric catfish cause you to receive a shock?
How would he fall on someone if he's not standing up?
It's more of protecting them emotionally in case something goes awry. Though I doubt they're unaware about the risk of injury their Dad/whoever it is taking. Though they may not realize the risk of a heart attack, though I don't know if the fish has volt/amps to do it.
Though though though
5 stars for a cool guy/childhood emotional trauma.
OBVIOUSLY if he got a bad enough shock he would leap to his feat, stumble around smashing into various fish tanks and furniture THEN fall onto one of the kids. Fucking hell...
Then he will tell them it was all a bad idea, they shouldn't ever try it and that he was lucky they were there to break his fall.
So fuck off.

So the Breaking Bad prequel series is a found footage thing?
"A guy opens his fish tank and gets shocked and you think that of me?!?
I am the one who shocks."
I was thinking Ed Begley Jr. but I can't really make an electric car joke that's as good your reference. Sorry Ed.

"You're not gonna shock me?"
"Actually I'm going to shock the shit out of you, Bob. We can do this all day."

Note the addictive behavior, which then turns into pusher behavior. "Just one more time." "Oh, just one more time." "You want to try this?" "Come on, you should try this." "Okay just one more time."

Reminiscent of Lisa Simpson's "Is my brother dumber than a hamster?" experiment.

I'll let the "give little kids a chance to touch an electric catfish" bit slide, because it isn't that much of a danger, but the fact that the toddler kept directly asking his dad if the catfish was scared ("is him scared?") and got no response at all struck me as pretty shitty.
