I love that comments disabled comment. I hate how so many wonderful, powerful videos are ruined by the comments underneath them.

Great video, thanks for sharing.

My life online got so much better, once I used Element Hiding Helper with Adblock Plus, to remove all comment sections on youtube and other sites I usually visit.

Also, a good video of Baldwin debating William F. Buckly at Cambridge on the question: "Is the American Dream at the expense of the American Negro?"

Thanks for letting me know about that! I have mixed feelings on blocking comments because the filter bubble situation is so bad as it is, and is starting to have very real social fallout, but on the other hand most comment sections are full of the worst casualties of it anyhow.

his writing was pretty amazing, I remember that you could very easily replace the word "negro" and "ghetto" in his writing with"native american" and "reservation" and it reads just as true. And this applies to any westernized country, Canada, United States, Australia. After reading him I came to the realization that we have a very very far way to go yet, and the struggle for equality and freedom is far from done.

It will never be done, there is no end state to anything, it's all ongoing processes.
