It would have been roughly the era when I started watching PRICE IS RIGHT as a very young kid (~4 years old).
According to the Price is Right Wiki, this game was retired in less than three months because it was anti-climatic (no strategy) and also because the showers reminded some people of the holocaust.

The rear half of that Buick Skyhawk looks suspiciously like GM cribbed some design cues from the Ferrari 365 GT/4 Daytona, though that Ferrari cribbed some design elements from GM's own Chevrolet Corvette so I guess it was payback.

infinite zest - 2015-05-16 That's the sexiest buick I've ever seen.
|
sasazuka - 2015-05-17 Well, the Buick Skyhawk was really just a badge-engineered Chevy Monza, if we're being honest.
Maybe the sexiest Buick that isn't a 1987 Grand National, heh.

THEY HAD THE KEY IN ALL THE SHOWERS!
|
sasazuka - 2015-05-17 Well, yeah, I think they have to have the same three options in all the "showers" just so the player can't cheat by looking for a glint of gold reflected on the walls of the stalls, and also because it makes things a lot easier when they reused the Shower Game set.

Cube - 2015-05-18 I meant the game was probably rigged so he would've won the car in any case, because that's the best way to introduce a new game. Makes people think it's easy to win.
