Holy shit. I've always been scared of these, and rollercoasters in general, for this very reason. They're often transported by who knows how many drivers all across the country, and set up by someone who usually seems pretty apathetic like. I guess that's like having an unreasonable fear of flying because you look out the window and see the inspectors and sometimes it just looks like they're phoning it in, but I expect something like this to happen every time I see one of these fucking things.
I was probably about this kid's age when I was at the Rose Festival carnival with my friend and my dad on the Ferris Wheel. We decided it would be a good idea to switch seats at the very top when it stopped to get different views of the city. Two kids at probably 90 pounds each and my dad who was at least double our combined weight.. we almost killed all 3 of us but to this day it doesn't bother me; my dad just likes to remind me of it every now and again. Maybe that's why I just stay away from all things with "center" or "THE" in big letters in front of it.
