That seems like quite a dangerous job... That molten sugar will fuck. you. up.

Would have been better if Huell Howser had done the narration.

Molten sugar behaves like a monster from D&D, in more ways then one.

Ugh - 2016-05-15
no mercy, the wobbly press and awkward handling ruined my day

This place is awesome. I used to drop by there when I went over to Tallahassee.

That tile backdrop you see in the background is made of thousands of vintage ceramic dominoes. They have a whole bunch of antique candy-making equipment. There's also an ice cream counter.

And they sell great card & board games as well as scientific toys and novelties. If you ever find yourself in Tallahassee, Florida a visit to Lofty Pursuits is worth it.

I just ordered some nectar drops from these folk.

Oh wow, I worked in a gourmet candy store making candy on hundred year old equipment as a teenager. It was amazingly fun. Sugar is a great craft material.

Superb. Really soothing to watch, especially 5:17 onwards.

Check out their other videos, especially their "image" candy videos.
