HOW DOES ONE KILL THE WIND?

Rodents of Unusual Size
The Martian Devil is difficult to kill, even with dynamite. Having relocated from Tasmania, it has an affinity for eating Earthlings.

I would suggest fire but I'm guessing it's harder to start one on Mars.

Here's an interesting story. I met a Native American woman who works as a professional story teller who was contacted by NASA to advise them on the Native American perspective in the space program. She mentioned that the preferred native term is whirlwind rather than dust devil, and NASA complied with that in their documentation.
