Expect more of this. The conflicts of interest are pretty fucking textbook.
Anyhow it's not likely to help much if half o what my state senator was saying at the event I just did sound for is true, because, according to him, Trump under the stage management of Bannon and to some degree Ryan are handling the day to day high profile atrocities, but the real political action from the right now is almost entirely Pence and the Koch Brothers, who have been methodically eliminating federal officials from the top down across all agencies and installing Koch operatives.
Just a few hours ago Jeff Sessions fired ALL united states attorneys. It's not getting reported on yet but I assume it will soon.
Trump is a puppet and a distraction and they'll drop him as soon as he becomes too much of a liability. Pence is the one we should be really worried about.
Politico article on the US attorneys being fired:
The article doesn't go into what, exactly the 48 fired US attorneys are responsible for, so I'm not sure how to evaluate this piece of news. (Maybe such information is common knowledge? I dunno. If so, I IZ IG'NUNT.)
Trump's entire entourage's fantasy is that he drops of a heart attack ASAP and Pence takes over. They'd get to hijack the 'movement' he channeled without having to do all the leg work.
Well this is not so strange: the general run of these things is that the old people resign and new ones are brought in. A lot of them didn't resign however, hence the firing. What's disturbing about it is that there are no replacements waiting. It's likely the offices, like a lot of other offices, will remain unfilled for some time. And, this practice looks to be a pattern with the Trump administration.
Also that it was done without any warning at all, after Trump had said they would be staying on.

An evil democrat proposed a law that bars tax money from being used to pay for goods or services that are owned by a president or his family.
I'm sure a bunch of republicans will support it.

Trump was actually impeachable the second he took the oath (I mean, aside from being a fucking traitor foreign agent puppet specifically installed to weaken US foreign policy for the benefit of Russia and their allies).
He was in violation of the Emoluments Clause on day one. Democrats are pretty spineless, though, so sadly they will never really push it.
They go "oh no there's no point the Republicans hold the house and senate boo hoo woe are us alas and alackaday we are powerless unto this".
If the situation were reversed the Republicans would raise such a stink you would be able to smell it on Mars.
The republicans hate him and will throw him and probably Bannon under the bus as soon as the liability outweighs the benefit of controlling all three branches of government.
The democratic leadership refuses to hold their GOP colleagues responsible, so there's a good chance they're going to get away with it, too.
That's true Stan, at least technically, but impeachment is a political process and not really a legal one. You can impeach a president for all kinds of silly things, but you need the votes to do it. Hence, "hide the cigar" gets the full treatment and Trumps massive and abiding conflicts of interest get swept under the rug. It's going to take the republicans to make impeachment happen, and you know it is actually a possibility if somehow the Dem's could take the blame for it. Right now he's too useful as a pinata for them to take this step.
