Bob Goldthwait commented on this show, about how Lucille Ball shouldn't have been doing pratfalls at her age. He wanted to re-title the show, "I'm Getting Really Worried About Lucy."

They actually offered Lucy the writing team from MASH for this show. She turned them down.

In fact the big problem that befell this series seems to be that they gave Lucy total creative control, and she responded by reuniting everyone she knew from the old days. But that meant you had a bunch of elderly TV pros from the black and white days running around the set, many of whom hadn't worked in years. Famously, their sound guy was nearly deaf. The show was cancelled after 8 episodes and Lucy never acted again.

The whole thing is sadder the more you read about it.

"We may have to spray YOU for spider mites!"

*Cue laugh track*

Good God this is unwatchable.
