I met Guy Maddin once. Probably the greatest thing about him is he doesn't seem to think there's anything particularly odd or remarkable about his films. He just makes movies that are like he thinks movies should be.

Anyone who hasn't seen his "Tales From The Gimli Hospital" really ought to.
