Musk likes cameras because they’re a lot cheaper than radar sensors, thus the 15,000 dollar full self driving package is that much more profitable.

also these shit cars are basically like 2012 models with a bunch of band-aids applied to them, Tesla isn't a real car company

I imagine it's a combination of cutting corners and trying to get more mileage out of the absolutely pointless Sentry Mode.

There's a shit ton of Tesla owners on the blocks surrounding my place, and one of them parked his in his driveway facing out towards the sidewalk. He had his set to where if anything was detected in front of the car, it flashes the brights, takes a photo and sends a message.

Either his neighbors complained about the constant flashing, or he was tired of getting morning and evening bird fingers from me while walking my dogs, but he's finally disabled it.

I’d imagine by then all the trucks will be electric and some kind of hentai robot tentacle charge plug system (see Macross Plus) will have been deployed already.

Yes, that's literally what it does! If it finds itself in a situation in which it simply doesn't see a way out, it just turns off and says "your problem now, asshole".
