Doesn't this pretty much describe liberalism too? Liberalism provides to 'the masses' an aesthetic expression via idpol, etc but does not threaten property relations at all. So is liberalism a version of fascism?

What Cody lacks is John Oliver's HBO MONEY, and that means no giant marble cakes or Tokyo Mascots. Incidentally, I think Oliver's been lighter on the comedy stunts in recent years, and that's been to the good. A lot of these late-night comedy guys (Colbert is another great example) really sharpened their skills when the pandemic forced them to work without an audience.

I think Cody is all about wit, but every show runs longer than I can endure. What impresses me more than anything else, though, is the lack of jump cuts. I don't care if he's reading off a screen, every shot is one take, and I could not do that. Not talking that fast, and not talking for so long.
