Oops, meant to vote this up.

I would watch the fuck out of this.

Is it really this easy to get views? Might have to leverage my midjourney shit. The easy button of AI art. I have to dumb down most of my prompts because of midjourney's built in "look-good-izer" algorithm and they often fight it out, resulting in monstrosities.

I love and hate Wes Anderson's work. I hate the try hard quirkiness, but the aesthetic pulls me in.

I'm with you on that. Love his photography, but his cinematic worlds feel like manufactured fun - a little hollow. In fact, in 2003, when I was working as the last manager of the late, great Hollywood Bookcity bookstore on Hollywood Blvd., Anderson would come in from time to time. We had a stellar film section, and I was often the only employee there, so I had the chance to tour him around the stacks on occasion. He always purchased the flashy, expensive photo books by Taschen - the overpriced ones with all the pretty pictures and flimsy bindings. He never bought anything related to film theory, history, or things of the like.

His films are the equivalent of enjoying a warm cup of cocoa while wrapped in a cozy blanket and sitting in your favorite chair when the weather outside is wet and gloomy.

And sometimes, that's all I want. I don't want to be taken on a wild adventure. I just want to be warm and safe and relaxed when the outside world is bitter and unpleasant.

"The Grand Budapest Hotel" is my favorite. "Moonrise Kingdom" is a close second, but it's so hard to watch any movie with Bruce Willis at the moment.

I would like Paul W.S. Anderson, Paul Thomas Anderson and Wes Anderson to all shift their scripts one to the right and produce what they've been given.

No. Fuck AI.

As if it's not here to stay.

you damn AIs, get off my lawn!

SolRo - 2023-05-02

I’ll agree.

This style used to be unique and artistic but now it’s just going to be the generic wonky shit AI spits out by default

Which is why it's a perfect match for Wes Anderson films.

The AI art movement seems to have already crashed and burned into repetitive shit memes.

Oh well it's still early days, maybe we'll get something good out of it eventually. Most likely the problem has at least as much to do with what art people want to generate as with what art the machines can effectively produce.

SolRo - 2023-05-04

Or just maybe copied memes is the highest artistic ability of these “disenfranchised masses” yearning for AI tools that turn them into artists
