basically yeah, this is retarded. there's valid argument about the difficulty of putting out an EV fire vs ICE, but the rate of fires starting in ICE vehicles is on the order of 50x greater then EV, with hybrids having the highest of all.

We had a recall to test fuel hose connections on new cars from factory because some were manufactured badly and could separate

And one for bad fuel rail bolts

And one for a bad fuel pump

And those are just the ones that could spray gas everywhere from 1 brand that I could think up in 2 minutes and does not include potential fire defects from other ICE components.

For EVs right now the only large company that is making any EV that is actually any better is Porsche. To get the performance of a Model 3 with Porsche you have to spend twice as much.

Not to mention that the infotainment screens of any Tesla are far and away faster and more responsive than any other car on the market simply because everything is one system, whereas every other car manufacturer the infotainment system is tied into dozens of systems, and each of those systems is a bottleneck to the main system.

The chances of you losing electrical power altogether in any Tesla is extremely low, and even if that happens you can still break the window with the right tools. Not to say you can't get trapped in any ICE car especially if you fall into a lake or a river.

I guarantee you most of the Tesla naysayers have never owned or driven one. The same as EV naysayers who have never owned or driven an EV.

Paying for any other car ensures that elon musk doesn't get a cent of your money and that's worth any price you need to pay.
