Recently watched some of 'the expanse' and I think season one was pretty good, scratched an itch somewhere near the star trek zone, good world building.
continued watching through season three just because there were some good parts still but hard stopped at the end of three because it really felt like they had finished the story and they had created a mcguffin to just endlessly meander.
Yup. I think I might have even stopped partway through season 2. They had everything wrapped up, the villains were revealed to have a little more dimensions to them, then they said "fuck THAT!" and the heroes were stupid and the villains turned into cartoons.
But I had heard that the books were a lot better, so I wanted to stop watching and just read the series.
