When I was little, my older cousins would see how long they could keep a slinky going with boards at family gatherings.
They would each have a couple of boards and would try to alternate being the lower "step" for the Slinky to land on.
Even the grown-ups liked to watch.
It was the 1970s, there were no video games or smart phones, but lots of surreptitious pot-smoking.
