Obnoxiously shrill and over-acted cartoons like this are what I think of when people like John K go on and on about how old cartoons are so awesome compared to today's.

B. Weed
I don't dislike this cartoon as much as fluffy (the "Put On Your Old Grey Bonnet" bit makes me laugh, okay?) but it did cross my mind that if this had been directed by Bob Clampett and not Friz Freleng it'd be a lot more abrasive. (It'd also look a lot more like a Kricfalusi cartoon.)
