No, the darker seasons sucked.

The show was better when it was doing screwy stuff like this that exploited its crazy and slightly surreal concept. The best episode was the one where they're stuck in a dungeon hack RPG with a talking TV set who communicates entirely through commercials.

I will say that the later, darker, episode they did that turned out to be a hallucination based on that old T.V. show "The Prisoner" was really good.
