Andonyx It's been 7 or 8 years since I played this but I was trying to explain to my girlfriend while we were playing Bioshock, what the big deal was, and this is the only scene I could remember. To this day it still strikes fear in me. At the time I actually thought something was going wrong with the game or video card for the first few moments.
Gill_Sans Fuck you man, now I have to play it again.
Rape Ape Memories. . . I'd forgotten how primitive things were.
boner I probably didn't get anywhere near this part of the game. Kept getting killed by monkeys. That is all I remember.
FABIO2 I'm surprised that shotgun managed to not rot and fall apart in those 5 minutes.
Not really a spoiler, since it's wildly obvious about an hour into the game.
Think about the logistics though. Tau Ceti is 30 light years from Earth, so the jettison explosion accelerated the habitat to the speed of light? Then in the infinite void of space, it happened to crash into a planet, one that could support life. The annelids survived the force of an impact into a planet at the speed of light.
Pandatronic In SS2, guns fall apart after 12 shots and you need special training to know how to stab things with a sharp rock. The suspension of disbelief continues.
FABIO2 Yeah. The main source of suspense for this scene was the fact that it was the first time something actually happened in the game; it was 5 hours of elevator repair up until this point.
LetsFistAgain Do you still choose to eschew my infinite godhood insect for i beheld satan as he fell from heaven like lightning third world selective relativism citadel station hurr blurr durr
Aubrey McFate I love this moment, but a video really doesn't do it justice.
Pangalin Yeaaaaah I'm guessing you had to be there
Desidiosus I only just got a copy of this and was able to run it under Windows XP. They sure as don't make games like this any more. This game is sci-fi horror at its finest.
