Randroid Looks like they're trying to apply the old chinese angle of telling shitty hyperbole and disguising it as a fairy tale "for adults".
Then again, it looks pretty fun.
StanleyPain Eh...looks like it might be good and at least this time the storyline seems more suited to this guy's style as opposed to something like The Cell.
Besides Fincher's involvement I'd watch this. I can't believe I haven't read much about it.
Shion Well I liked the Cell, and I want to see this too. Just want to look at the pretty visuals mostly.
Camonk The fact that I like Spike Jonze and the visuals makes me want to see it. The fact that I utterly hate people with one name makes me want to punch Tarsem in the stomach.
chumbucket I REALLY like Tarsem's style of film but this trailer makes it feel too much like another Pan's Labyrinth/Lion Witch Wardrobe/kid's adventure cookie cut copy...but I'm hoping the action/acting and story work out this time for him...The Cell didn't quite do it as it should have
StanleyPain Just so you guys know, incase it wasn't obvious, neither David Fincher or Spike Jonze had anything to do with the movie. Like many foreign films that struggle for a market in places like North America, they lent their names to the film as "presenters" to give it some extra marketing strength.
chumbucket cue Price Is Right "loser" trumpet song
yeahjim It's so cute how insecure you guys are about your excitement.
Lurchi He doesn't look anything like Mark E. Smith.
Godard's Drinking Problem DANGER DANGER DANGER: Do not see this film. It was one of the most aggravating viewing experiences I've had in a while. The trailer is great; the trailer is all you need. Seeing the film has actually served to cheapen and taint the trailer. That girl is hideous and smug and full of Tarsem and she dominates the mood of the film (not to mention a majority of the screentime).
Just watch "The Adventures of Baron von Munchausen." Trust me, you'll be much better off.
