From the sound it seems as if it's basically a normal guitar with an eBow mounted near a pickup, and some simple circuitry to make it only activate the eBow coils for the strings which are being touched. Which is still damn brilliant.
Minus side: the price tag is around $6500.

wow, i thought this would be gimmicky, and i suppose it is, but it can sure do some interesting stuff. pretty ugly though.
