its funny because phone pay phones cost double and 85 cents for a can of coke is normal, if not a bargain.
85 cents is how much a 12oz convenience store coke costs now. By 1993 prices that's ridiculous.
I love how cracker college students love this movie, like Michael Douglas is some kind of Aryan warrior, beating down all the various ethnicities of Los Angeles. It's actually quite a depressing movie and D-Fens is really portrayed a sad, lonely loser.
Funny thing is, "Falling Down" is a great film about the death of the American Dream. It just has a corny way of doing it.
You are the worst people.

Also I didn't notice the rating; disregard the above, until someone comes in here who fits the proverbial shoe.

That store could've done with better lighting. It would've made for a happier ambiance, and that might have helped prevent this confrontation.

Notice the American flags in the little jar! The director and writers of FALLING DOWN would like to remind you that the opinions expressed within this work of fiction are not necessarily held by the staff.
Thankyou, and please enjoy your movie!
He was the Barry Goldwater of the 90's.
For some reason, I imagine Billy Buttsex in this scene.
I saw it more as social commentary than race-based.
Also, I saw it as amazingly awesome.

This was awesome, and subverted by the fact that D-Fens doesn't even actually know about aid to Korea.
best scene of the film...we had to be shown that the flags fell on the floor..OH NO! SYMBOLIC IRONY!
