Crow's first mistake was signing up for an ISP that uses SLIP instead of PPP. He is also in for a huge disappointment when his ISP tells him that he is having modem problems and they don't troubleshoot hardware and he will have to call the computer manufacturer if the modem came with the computer or the modem manufacturer if he bought it separately.
