I like the idea that POETV can have an entire wing of How To Do Retarded Shit videos.

(also: I eagerly await the activation of the "college kid food" tag.)

Needs meat.

TeflonDoc - 2009-03-01

If you could afford meat, why would you be trying to make a real meal out of ramen?

halon - 2009-02-28

I appreciate how about half the video is dedicated to showing the viewer how to make normal ramen.

Squeamish - 2009-03-01

You'd be surprised how many people don't know how to make ramen "properly."

Oh, the things I've seen...

bang to buck ratio - 2009-02-28

I used to make exactly this in college and it was delicious and you can go to HELL

kennydra - 2009-02-28

I don't see how this is more disgusting than just regular top ramen. Looks pretty good, I might try it.

glasseye - 2009-03-01

It's way better, since you replace the shitty salt packet with real peanut sauce.

Could use some fried tofu and hot peppers though.

Hay Belly - 2009-03-01

Peanut sauce with noodles, veggies and tofu is awesome. Same parts hot water to PB, with a little molasses, vinegar, cayenne and sesame oil and lots of tamari. Makes a good dip too. Soooo yummy.

astropod five - 2009-02-28

Looks good but needs garlic, cayenne pepper, chopped peanuts, and probably a little more of the broth left in. Also, add some vegetables if you're going to spend more than 3 minutes making ramen.

Old_Zircon - 2009-03-01

If this had something spicy in it, it would be a pretty decent ramen-meal-grade version of Indonesian peanut sauce that's actually really good when it's, you know, put on things that aren't ramen.

Knuckles - 2009-03-01

Glad to see Gibbs got his own cooking show.

Lindner - 2009-03-01

Having finished with college, I'll never eat that shit again.

NEVER!

Rafiki - 2009-03-01

This is basically a poor man's fried rice, but with Ramen.

fluffy - 2009-03-01

Poor man's thai food.

allcaps - 2009-03-01

Poor food.

Chalkdust - 2011-05-28

Pood

Samisyosam - 2009-03-01

Chicken, peanut butter, sesame oil, green onions and noodles makes for a damn fine meal. It's really addictive. Crunchy peanut butter makes it better. However, I draw the line at using flavor packets. That's fucking disgusting.

thebaronsdoctor - 2009-03-01

Wait, they actual recommend choping the onion with a pair of scissors? What savages are these people?

Hooper_X - 2009-03-01

One time, my friends were drunk and made a microwave pizza. They could not find the pizza cutter, being drunk, so they cut the pizza with kitchen shears.

I was kind of mad when I found out the next day. (also, at 4 AM they banged on the neighbor's door demanding that she come over and have some pizza.)

KnowFuture - 2009-03-01

Throw a scrambled egg, some chicken, and some Sriracha sauce in there and you got somethin tasty.

Gwago - 2009-03-01

This could all have been communicated in much less time.

Steps 1-6: Make regular Ramen noodles.
Steps 7+: Mix everything else with the noodles.

College kids aren't THAT retarded. Right?

Doctor Arcane - 2009-03-01

I do this sort of thing all the time, but use udon noodles and throw in some veggies and tofu. Ramen noodles are pretty meh.

KnowFuture - 2009-03-01

Actually did this today. Kind of splurged and got the deluxe, microwaveable kind that comes with dried veggies. Used the Shrimp flavor one and threw in some shredded carrots, some chopped green onions, a splash of vinegar, a splash of Sriracha sauce and a spoonful of Jif Extra Crunchy.

Result: awesome, for something that took maybe 4 minutes to put together.
