Soul shudder.
IrishWhiskey - 2009-04-12
Book burning. An actual call for book burning.

dead_cat - 2009-04-15
Actually, it turns out that was the person behind the camera attempting to goad the crazies into being even more entertaining.

The Townleybomb - 2009-04-12
He's in marketing. He should know about international finance and world history.
phalsebob - 2009-04-12
We’re all indebted to Gabby Johnson for clearly stating what needed to be said.
zurvan - 2009-04-12
what happened there, with your apostrophe?

eatenmyeyes - 2009-04-12
That might be the Liberal Media I've heard so much about.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-04-12
I have a theory. ‘these are proper quotes’

eh, those will probably show up the right way. but either way it's an encoding issue.

burn all punctuation! tools of the liberals! especially that damned question mark.

phalsebob - 2009-04-14
Damn liberal media manipulation is overshadowing my obviously brilliant Blazing Saddles reference.

Camonk - 2009-04-12
Where's the People's Popular Front?
He's over there.

PS: I'm a college professor... PLEASE don't burn my brainwashing books! Please? I'll be powerless to make your kids love Obama and paying taxes without my brainwashing books.
kennydra - 2009-04-12
I haven't really watched this yet, but I'm thinking this merits a motherfucking "White people" tag.
SolRo - 2009-04-12
Are you implying that only white people can be dumb and easly led by stupid yet appealing figureheads?

Rap anyone?

dead_cat - 2009-04-12
Hey now, be fair. Only some rap is made by stupid yet appealing figureheads -- and rap isn't the only form of music to suffer from this, either.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-04-12

pastorofmuppets - 2009-04-12
But yeah I agree with both of you.

futurebot - 2009-04-14
what the fuck does any of this have to do with rap

I could only make it a minute in... This is the video where, for me, the Glenn Beck/conservative nutjob clips went from entertaining to thoroughly depressing.
Cleaner82 - 2009-04-12
It was extremely unpleasant. You missed, "BURN THE BOOKS!"

Tstyle - 2009-04-12
"...not all of em', the ones with that evolution crap in it....Rock On!"

PegLegPete - 2009-04-12
That's some crazy shit. Fucking idiots.
dead_cat - 2009-04-12
Book burnings? Pull your kids from college? The HD broadcast brainwashing claim was the least disturbing of all the cray being spewed forth at this "party."

What the HELL. What do you say to something like this? WHERE DO YOU EVEN BEGIN?
dead_cat - 2009-04-12
Dropped a Z there, that should be craZy.

I'm not sure how you could spew cray.

Aelric - 2009-04-12
gray seemed like an appropriate word for it.

Aelric - 2009-04-12
grrr, cray!!! now I'm doing it. look what you did!

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2009-04-12
"I'm in the marketing business!"
"Marketing will get us out of this mess!"

If he'd just wear an "I'm effectively useless to society" t-shirt, it'd save a lot of oxygen on his part.
Hooper_X - 2009-04-12
25 seconds in there's a guy talking about the Constitutional Party.

http://www.constitutionparty.com/party_platform.php Those guys are far-right fruitcakes.

Syd Midnight - 2009-04-12
If the US had a modern electoral system, we could let their party have its lone representative and just ignore them. The 2-party system insures that these folks remain part of the Republican party.

Witty_Pop_Culture_Reference - 2009-04-12
2:27 to 2:33. You can't make shit like that up.

raeshaldis - 2009-04-12
They don't want to go to college and they want to burn the books and only listen to Glen Beck. You people realize this is only going to get worse?

Fuck. I can't believe they said burn the books. Fuck.
Ghoul - 2009-04-12
I believe that the woman shouting for the book burnings may have been there to troll the nut jobs. However, I am also surprised that some of the more serious guests didn't stand up to discuss the evils of the NWO, the reptilians, or the Illuminati.
DerangedGoblin - 2009-04-12

Glen Beck
Alex Jones
Michael Savage
Anne Coulter
Michelle Malkin

It's like an evil, bizarro-world League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
Caminante Nocturno - 2009-04-12
It was funny until that bitch yelled about burning books. Then I wanted to haymaker a bitch.
Dan Druff - 2009-04-12
Can you really claim to be surprised by this? After this many years?

Don't forget that Bush Jr, Palin, Joe the Plumber, etc... are the moderate, socially acceptable face of this movement.
memedumpster - 2009-04-12
I took the Constitution Hall tour while in Philadelphia wherein the tour guide spoke about how the raucous young malcontents of the day plotted treason against the Crown from the pub down the street. I watch this and wonder if in 200 years or so Buffalo Wild Wings will be hailed as "Birthplace of the Empire" and whether or not I would be struck by the same profound sadness at that thought were I to see how it actually went down back in that day down the street from Constitution Hall. Does all great social and political change start with this level of cringe inducing sucky-baby-tantrumizing, or did there used to be a dignity in such things that we no longer possess? I honestly don't know if I want to know or not.

Five stars for making me doubt the worth of such knowledge and feeling bad about it.
futurebot - 2009-04-14
these people will never be involved in any sort of political action beyond complaining

pastorofmuppets - 2009-04-13
Burn the books, eh?

"It is error only, and not truth, that shrinks from inquiry."
pastorofmuppets - 2009-04-13
Also it's crazy how she had to use evolution as her get out of jail free card, like "I *know* this guy will have beef with evolution, so he'll agree with me about burning those books, at least"
Enjoy - 2009-04-13
This is fake and not even a good fake. The "book burner" is a pot smoking atheist. Did you even look at her other videos?
futurebot - 2009-04-14
Man, you are letting a fifteen second publicity stunt ruin five consecutive minutes of genuine crazy. This is like defending TimeCube.com from the haters on the basis that a cube does indeed have six sides.

Camonk - 2009-04-17

FABIO - 2009-04-16
The book burner may be a faker, but the fact that she was able to smooth things over when she explained only the books on evilution should be burned still says something.
Cleaner82 - 2009-05-12
Nah, I'm very happy she's full of shit. Most of this other stuff is tame by comparison.
