Ah, a young black woman making a calm, rational clarification.

I trust this will put the issue to rest.
Smellvin - 2009-08-11
Honestly, even if someone is stupid enough to believe it, a video like this telling them otherwise won't change his mind.

"it" = forced euthanization

This is not the way to fight rumors. Quick, easily quotable sound bites are the way to fight rumors. That, and they need to do a better job of communicating the fact that mainstream America overwhelmingly wants health care reform, and that the Dems are in power because Americans WANTED them in power. Right now the idea that the astroturfers represent real anger in this country is getting through, when the reality is that they're a tiny cabal of extremists backed by insurance companies.

Paint these idiots as what they are - a disruptive fringe group terrified of real discourse - and that cripples what they're trying to accomplish.

Maybe the government should have free camps located in extremely remote locations where the people who believe 'it' can go on a little vacation. We could even build a train directly to it (the fun vacation spa I mean).

in twenty years, our kids won't be able to believe how monumentally retarded the debate on this issue was

You haven't seen Idiocracy, have you?

Xenocide - 2009-08-11
Idiocracy is fiction.

Pandering, ham-fisted fiction.

The way to beat populist tactics is to use technocratic web videos. Wait, no it's not

You know, increasingly I'm in favor of this forced euthanasia for senior citizens. Not all senior citizens, mind you. But the ones who are so intellectually lazy and void of any amount of self-worth that they would ACTUALLY believe that legislation in the works is designed to force them to die. I'm just saying - If someone makes the claim "If you want a better society, you have to kill me first", well - we should at least pause to contemplate the request
Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-08-11
Can we just euthanize Virginia Fox?

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-08-11
Oh, and gymnasts. It's a shame when they have to be put down, but some things must be done.

Doctor Arcane - 2009-08-11
Wait, no forced euthanasia for seniors? I thought we were going to solve the social security crisis here. Obama, you disappoint.
