I have to agree 100%.
Same. That demo really was ridiculous - not a single goddamn hint about any of the RTS stuff, as well as containing one of the TWO boss fights in the entire game.

Plus, the ending snuck up on me more than any game I can remember playing, especially because I'd apparently missed about 7-8 of the guitar solos.

There is a lot of optional content in this game, and to get the most out of it you really need to seek it out.

That doesn't bother me too much since I'm inclined to look for sidequests and things anyway, but if you don't WANT to go poking around for hidden stuff to justify your purchase, you're probably going to be disappointed.

The RTS battles are a lot more fun when you stop trying to play them like an RTS and you just start sending your guys to tank rush things while you stand on your biggest guy smashing up the enemy.

I have to disagree 5%. Full Throttle and Psychonauts were mediocre at best -- especially when compared with Grim Fandango.
Ok, I never played Grim Fandango or Full Throttle, but Psychonauts was fantastic except for the meat circus. It wasn't revolutionary, but it was a very well made, fun and funny game that I have enjoyed playing three separate times, and I rarely replay a game.

I still haven't gotten around to playing Psychonauts, but Full Throttle was fun. Yeah, not a revolutionary game or anything, but it was a great interactive cartoon experience anyway, and it made very good use of its medium.

You know, as someone that was holding off on buying this because there's no compelling multiplayer and thus doesn't need to be played right now, I have to express my sheer amazement that two weeks after the release and after having friends talk endlessly about the game to me, watching the Zero Punctuation review is actually the first time I've heard about this RTS crap.
