splatterbabble I can't exactly put my finger on why, but this seems like a bad idea.
memedumpster It will cost twice as much as a Mac, be half as fast, and any little wire or connection break in any of those folds results in a completely useless folding piece of crap.
James Woods Moore's law. Why would it cost twice as much as a Mac? From a purely design perspective this is a great idea. The only thing that seems wrong is that no one is going to sling it like a yoga mat, but it could just as easily go into a proper backpack.
James Woods Moore's law. Why would it cost twice as much as a Mac? Why would be it be slower? Obviously it wouldn't be put in to production under those circumstances as no on would be interested in it. From a purely design perspective this is a great idea. It keeps all the component's nicely together and gets past the tablet stigma. The only thing that seems wrong is that no one is going to sling it like a yoga mat, but it could just as easily go into a proper backpack.
No, I did not design this.
Mallard The lack of tactile feedback from an actual keyboard would kill it for me.
Scrotum H. Vainglorious When rolled up it can easily be mistaken for a yoga mat which I'm sure a lot of guys will like.
mouser Because the rolled up surface is smaller than displayed screen?
Because no one wants a portable system that you must assemble to use?
fatatty Star Trek didn't have tactile feedback and they did just fine.
This will happen but will be lighter and less lame.
Don't doubt the nerds. They will come through.
memedumpster It will cost twice as much because nerds will pay out the ass for new technology. Everyone else will still use notebooks.
cognitivedissonance It would be right at home in the Library of Alexandria, though.
chumbucket like most concept cars over the past couple of decades, this will never happen
Persephone S. Tight No one here has asked the most important question: Do fries come with that shake?
charmlessman It had me until the Local Car Commercial CGI Hands came in.
