Rachel has some serious class. I wish her the highest ratings imaginable for any political show on television - although with our current portion of overweight red-staters (including Cena), I don't have high hopes it will happen any time soon.

Ahha! So he admits to making a pact with the devil. Well, maybe his great (x5) grandfather did. A surprising (yet still dickish) triumph for Pat.
|poorwill - 2010-01-15 |
You hear that? Not only did they make a pact with the devil, you can blame them for Louisiana too.

If ever there was a proper usage of the phrase "owned"...
|Sanest Man Alive - 2010-01-15 |
Well played. He doesn't actually deny any Satanic pact, but instead implies the accusers (via living in the US) in fact benefit from whatever they idiotically claim led to his nation's freedom.
I hate how she was wrong about the second part.

Pat got served.

Pat got his ass handed to him on a skewer.

It's wonderful to see a solid dose of reality from this guy provide contrast to Robertson's delusional, magical thinking. This guy is more eloquent and well-spoken then most of the red neck hicks who subscribe to Robertson's mania - and he's speaking a second language.

"Why is this guy worrying about Pat Robertson and not his country. Its stupid how this guy only cares about image and not saving peoples lives. There are still people that need help. At least Robertson sent out 0k in help to them with operation blessing. So Operation blessing is at work but who ever this guy is, is sitting around talking to Fox or whoever about how bad Robertson is And for all the people who diss Robertson like it or not the guy is doing more then you are to help the situation"
Yeah, all this guy does (whoever he is) is bitch about Pat Robertson.
Yeah, what sort of Ambassador thinks it's his job to worry about his countries image? It's not like that has any impact on the aid they receive?

When is Pat Robertson going to finally die?
Sadly he made a pact with Jesus to live to 700.
Since Harry Potter destroyed the philosophers stone, he should have passed away... unless he is living on the blood of Unicorns, that is.

Meanwhile Danny Glover blames global warming and not a word is said.
Then I'll say it. Danny Glover is a goddamn moron, and in this age anyone with a high school diploma should be familiar with plate tectonics.
His statement was worse than Robertson's. We don't vote on how much funding to give religion. Science, on the other hand, is on some level subject to the whims of the populace, and Glover makes hard-working meteorologists look like complete asses by association.

"Science, on the other hand, is on some level subject to the whims of the populace"
skip to 1:31:00
the representation of science is subject to whims, but science itself is apolitical
also, Pat Robertson warns Ohio of impending disaster, at 1:02:00
I only meant the funding. But, even then, do you think the science that comes out of the Cato Institute is apolitical? The scientific method is apolitical but you still have to be careful who you trust.
