In America, bleeding hearts want social medicine. In China, social medicine makes your heart bleed!

I genuinely like this. He's my new favorite Yakov Smirnoff.

that was legitimately funny, not in an ironic or racist way.

Yup.

This is actually more awesome if you just read the subtitles.

Kind of uneven, but plenty of good parts.
pastorofmuppets - 2010-05-02
Great jokes, horrible audience. They liked the China owning US debt joke though. I'm guessing it's because they've heard it enough that they can be certain that it's a joke. And jokes are funny!

I wasn't expecting him to be very funny, but he is.

On par with Arlen Specter's standup routine.

So, are we laughing extra hard because a dude with an accent is pulling off mediocre jokes, or what?

Meditate on the nature of entertainment for a month and then return, young one.

Yes we're all laughing because of affirmative action. That's how we roll.

I love him although it's a shame China doesn't have a Chernobyl equivalent for him to joke about.

Is "[LAUGHTER]" really a more important subtitle than, say, the punchline that induced the [LAUGHTER]?

"...that was their slogan."

I actually got to see this guy a few nights before this. He preformed at a "comedy night" put on by the chamber of commerce of a small NH city. Nobody got it, but damn did I laugh.
heyitslozeau - 2010-05-09
before he started he grabbed a woman from the audience and asked her to act like Joe Biden as practice. So she sat on a stool while he delivered this routine.

heyitslozeau - 2010-05-09
Quite frankly I was surprised to find this, I thought the whole "I'm preforming for Joe Biden tomorrow" was part of his deadpan ironic act.

heyitslozeau - 2010-05-09
believe it or not this guy was an opener for some doofy blue collar everyman that's claim to fame was being a taxi driver or something on commercials for the boston redsox.
