When it stopped I assumed there was more. (Window was minimized)
"Oh, no? Good."
Thing #1: Wow, McG actually gets people to call him McG in real life.
Thing #2: I hope this massive disruption of Christian Bale's art doesn't impact on the eventual quality of this, the second culturally valuable cash in on James Cameron's left overs by the Charlie's Angels guy.

shocking, a guy who assaulted his mom (whether she dissed his wife or not) has anger issues?!
Big Beef Burritos Supreme
I always thought he was a pretty uninspired choice for Pat Bateman, but now I know that, maybe it wasn't.

"You fucking amateur."
Yes. Yes. And I bet Naomi Campbell shows photographers working with her as much respect and professional restraint as you do, you fucking manbaby for hire.
Sounds like Bale is screaming at Hurlbut because he was doing his job. Clazzy!
I have a story about this event, as it was shot in my hometown and I worked with a guy who was present for this meltdown. Now I have to go to work. Be back later with the truth!

Remember, he's british so he's 'doing an accent' during his flip-out.
He was totally ready to fight that guy!
At first I could totally understand if this was Christian Bale yelling at McG...then I caught that it was the DP and it devolved into just an ass screaming at some working stiff.
Christian Bale: Truly a Classy Individual.
I'm surprised he didn't bust out some of that Keysi Fighting Method he learned for The Dark Knight and try to work that fellow over for you know, doing his job.
I don't think it's fair to Mr. Bale because who knows what the hell was going on and how it lead up to this.....it's kind of like those reality tv shows where someone explodes but you don't see the little things that built up to lead to that point. I'm sure we're missing alot.
That said though, I wouldn't have taken him to be that kind of actor. Hell, fucking Batman is yelling at you for real about not taking your craft seriously. That's gotta do a number on you if you're an important dude whose job is done behind the camera. Bad enough people are only going to give you but so much recognition outside the industry, now you're being told you suck at your job. By Batman.
Eh on second thought, I turned up the audio. He's being kind of a cock.
People are often dicks! Especially actors! What I enjoy is when people try to justify it or tut-tut in condemnation. It's like if I saw a video of my plumber being a jerk, it's entertaining and all, but really who gives a shit.
...because a good job is worth doing over and over and over and over and over...
Christian Bale ate nothing but bread and apples for like a year to become The Machinist. He's a HARDCORE ACTOR. I did like the way that he thought to separate the guy from his job, though. The DP is a good person, and Bale admits this, but he's A TERRIBLE DP AND HIS LIGHTS NEED SOME SMASHIN'.
Still, this would've been five stars if he'd actually done it in the Batman voice.

I could tell this was going to be 5 stars the second it started.
Gorgeous entertainment. The man our friendly British manbaby is ripping a new asshole is Cinematographer (aka director of photography, aka "DP!!!") Shane Hurlbut. His previous opuses include, "Swing Vote", "We Are Marshall", and "The Skulls".
See, sow I can see where you could justify yelling at the guy. Not that the DP really had anything that much to do with how bad those movies were.
If only every job in the real world were allowed one meltdown...I think we'd all be a lot healthier. Like Batman.
In fairness, they're both being douches, although Bale moreso than the other guy. It's really unprofessional to be moving around on set unless there's a reason for it. Checking the lighting while there's filming going on is kind of a dick thing to do.
On the other hand, Bale is clearly out of hand and got a bit of the ol' ego if he thinks he's big enough to dictate terms of crew employment to the studio simply because he has issues with them. From what I hear, they were one phone call away from suing Bale with breach of contract if indeed he went through with his threat to not perform until the guy was fired.
That's where I'm kind of conflicted about it. I think Bale went a bit too far but if that was the second time the DP had done that, then he probably had it coming. Film costs money to shoot and the actor not being able to get into a role will have its own costs on screen. I'm not saying every actor is entitled to be a douche, but acting is much more difficult than alot of people think it is. If you've never done it, there's really nothing else to compare to. It's hard to do and it's extremely hard to do it right.
I once acted in a student film. The squib went off and it hurt. That wasn't hard.
Dry heaves are hard to do, and hard to do right?
I like to imagine Brino is the lighting guy.
I wonder if he's mad because his actual english accent is starting to sound less real than his fake american accent?
Just think what sort of reaction this man must have when faced with real problems.

He's just acting out. On account of all the dicks he likes to suck.
