For the budget, the show was pretty damn good. You've gotta love a program where a "prisoner exchange" with Hell has the good guys trading in the faustian Emmanuel Lewis (wrapped from head to toe in rope and duct tape).
And as for the "90's pretending to be the 70's," you do realize that the characters are, in essence, dead people, right? From, y'know, the past?
I dunno, this show was pretty fucking awesome for the first season. It was, in my opinion, probably one of the best things ever on television. Second season was...uh...rough.
