I had to send my cat to live with my parents last year and I'm afraid he's going to end up like this. He was naturally chunky to begin with (his brother, who my ex kept, ate the same food as him - and, being the dominant one, tended to eat MORE of it - and stayed thin, so I think it is at least partially bad genetic luck), but now that he's up there he's up to almost 18 pounds. He's an all around BIG cat (his skinny brother was 12 or 13 pounds last I heard) but still.
