I see what they did. See, they took old 80's movies and moments reminiscent of 80's popular culture, and they imagined the references through the lens of 8-bit graphics.

I was going to deduct stars for the abject failure of the animator's attempt to replicate 8 bit graphics, whhich is comparable to how they drew video games in season 1 of The Simpsons, but now I kind of think it helps.
