The audience commentary at 3:37 is... astounding.

People stare at me like a crazy person when I say I never want to retire. But look. Look what retired people do with their lives.
Burnov - 2011-05-30
Oh god, its not so much the video but the comments that make this so hilarious.

phalsebob - 2011-05-29
Like synchronized caber tossing and luge-spelunking, it's a lot more graceful than you'd think.
Killer Joe - 2011-05-29
I love you America. A little more than I did yesterday.

"He's paddling a green canoe but the song is Lady In Red. I'm sure the judges are going to deduct some style points for that one. What do you think Bob?"

charmlessman - 2011-05-30
To be fair, Lyle, if her red dress is a dark maroon, it would go quite nicely with the forest green canoe. But yes, if she was wearing a bright magenta, it just wouldn't go. I guess we'll have to wait for the judges' opinion on what kind of dress color he's evoking.

White people tag, where are you? We need you now more than ever!
charmlessman - 2011-05-30
Good call. Done.

Old_Zircon - 2011-05-30
I wish I could canoe like that.
Raggamuffin - 2011-05-30
"Go forward" and "spin around" are the only two moves.
retrocious - 2011-05-30
Don't forget "almost tip over."

Burnov - 2011-05-30
I was hoping it was, although not a clean "capsize" but just to pitch enough that water comes rushing into the canoe, compelling him to paddle and flail in vain before abandoning ship.

Honestly, I think seeing a 50-60 something year old man swimming in a lake wearing a suit and tie would've been the icing on the cake.

charmlessman - 2011-05-30
Don't forget "go backward". It's deceptively like "go forward" only the other way.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2011-05-30
Definitely not street legal.

I actually think this is pretty cool.
Old_Zircon - 2011-05-30
Yeah, anyone who isn't a little impressed by this guy has obviously never piloted a canoe.

Old_Zircon - 2011-05-30
Not to say it isn't also completely ridiculous, but he's got skills.

Crapenstein - 2011-05-30
WHAT ARE THEY CLAPPING FOR. WHAT DID HE DO?
charmlessman - 2011-05-30
He's the worst ferryman ever.

oddeye - 2011-05-30

Riskbreaker - 2011-05-30
YOU JUST GOT CANO-ED!
Banal Intercourse - 2011-05-31
At 4:10 he moves towards one end of the canoe and I get all excited because I think he's about to do an ollie.
Jet Bin Fever - 2011-05-31
I started laughing when the music started and did not stop. This is amazing.
