I grew up on Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Freakazoid and Batman: The Animated Series. WB animation is usually a higher caliber than most shit on TV, even Disney's TV stuff.

Let's all be glad this is on the air and Baby Looney Tunes is in dollar store DVD bins.

Ask any animator, and they'll tell you that the target audience for most cartoons these days is "children...and their parents."

It's stupid to limit your audience to half the family, especially when animation is more costly than ever. You need every pair of eyes you can get. So when they say "entertainment for the whole family" they actually MEAN it.

(of course, most of it still sucks, but that's true of any medium.)

I'm more amazed that most people can't seem to understand this concept and think "for kids" and "for grownups" are mutually exclusive concepts. 16 years of Pixar films should have shown you all how absurd that is.
