Heaven. I would have dropped to my stomach and started coaxing that one cat with the paw under the door to bat at a stick or a pen or whatever. this nonbeliever just needs some good old cat virus and she'll be one of us soon enough.
While this does seem just as silly and irrational as the puppy, balloon, and pickle phobias... I do have to admit that she's right that the cat would like to get her if it could.
If only they were big enough they'd get us, but instead the cats are simply biding their time...watching...waiting...lulling the whole world into a false sense of security around them...
My grandma was deathly afraid of cats her whole life. She said it stemmed from a cat that perched on top of her grandmother's corpse for several days while they had her on display, which was the custom of the time, and always associated it with evil and death.
