90s were definitely the golden era of computer gaming. Papyrus, Looking Glass, Origin, Westwood, Dynamix, oh how I miss thee.
You're forgetting about the late 90s, when everyone decided they NEEDED to go 3D regardless of how horrible looking the result was.
I loved Indy Car Racing 2 (also by Papyrus). You could customize your car in a lot of colors and draw logos and such. My brother and I made an Information Society car with the InfoSoc logo on the hood. It was the style of the times.
I used to make my custom NASCARs totally black with pink writing. Usually stuff like BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD RULE!!
I did the same thing, although my favorite car was a Smashing Pumpkins - Pisces Iscariot album cover car.
My stars are for the super low frame rate in the video they want to demonstrate the game.
