Louis C.K.'s been doing variations on this joke for twenty years and it still kills.

He was great with this sort of material even before he became a dad.

I forget sometimes how hugely influential this show was to the development of my own comedic tastes

Flawless execution

It is funny to compare C.K. between his absurdest past and his satirical present. There was a moment, and I'm sure it was when his first kid was born, where he shifted gears completely and became this amazingly talented workaholic.

Also, crdiet to the animators on this one too. The visuals really work well with the joke and it's timing. Dr. Katz was a pretty good show that too many folks have forgotten about completely in the wake of Home Movies, which was amazing in it's own regard.

What the hell is that red stuff on top of his head?

Vibrating pixels?

Merzbau
No, more than that, it's like...fibrous strands of protein? But not on his face?

Louis CK is drawn to look way younger than I have ever seen him and this kind of weirds me out is what I guess I am saying

I love Louie.
