Chalkdust Tweels! I've been mildly obsessed with these things for a while now. I am eagerly awaiting the day they are available to civilians, but there are a few hurdles still. At highway speeds, with their current materials, they get incredibly hot and incredibly noisy, so they remain in the realm of military applications (and extra-terrestrial vehicles like planetary landers) for now.
