Can't we all just follow Godwin's Law?
I think Godwin's Law says that Hitler's name and the National Socialists being brought up in online discussions is inevitable. So, if that's true, they would actually be following it.

And that theory would hold up to any conversation, even ours if it went long enough. At least that's how I remember it being described.

I'm not going to bother looking it up, cause if I'm wrong I'm wrong. No sense in being a fucking Definition Nazi about it.

I'm going to be a dictator hipster and just compare each and every one of you to Mussolini.

Hey, POETV! You're short and fat, and the other dictators laugh at you behind your back! "Il Duce?" they say. "More like Il DOUCHE-e!" That joke always cracks Stalin up.

Hitler doesn't laugh, though. He's too busy taking away people's guns, which makes him exactly like Hitler.

Right, Godwin's Law is a law in the same sense as the law of gravity, not like smoking laws.

A real hipster would be more concerned about the atrocities committed under Stalin, man.

Get used to it, Hitler.
C'mon, Hitler, I'll buy ya a glass of lemonade.

How can you say that about Hitler? I love Hitler and Hitler loves me!

around here we have a saying...

"Yeah. Psh, that's easy for him to say, his died."

This made my day. My favorite part is when they start comparing reactions, or Limbaugh whining about defamation.
So what has lost more of its meaning to you guys: "owned" or "Nazi"?

You can still wreck some Korean sixteen-year-old's steez in a video game, so I don't see why it isn't a useful concept. As for "Nazi," George Orwell claimed that the word had lost all meaning before the Second World War even started.

William Burns
"National Socialist" was, as a lable, at best a half-truth anyway. Only in the most abstract, upside-down and back-assward sense were Nazis "socialist."

Void 71
It was socialism minus the cultural marxism. Nationalistic Socialism would have been a more accurate label since it was based on the pillar of racial nationalism. Venzuela operates under a similar form of socialism, except it's latino nationalism as opposed to 'aryan' nationalism.

William Burns
Like I said, you would have to do some Orwellian verbal gymnastics to claim Nazis were "socialist," like this dingaling.

The screencap suggests that this is serious business indeed.
It suggests to me that Hannity is slowly morphing into Jay Leno.

I can't wait until 2016, when Joe Biden and his Vice Presidential candidate Ben Affleck get pegged with the Hitler/Stalin/Pol Pot/Antichrist collars.
Reasons it's okay to call someone Hitler:

1. They're Hitler.
