This may very well be a dupe, but 5 for Jim Varney, the funniest Christian nutjob of all time.

I'm only 5-starring this because I went to the same high school as Jim Varney (and Harry Dean Stanton, who is way, way cooler).

I'd like to imagine them both as complete outcasts, assuming they went to school at the same time, smoking cigarettes and talking shit about the varsity sports team

did either of them ever come back? One of our alumni was Ken Patera of WWF fame and he came back and did a talk about drugs or something. I can't remember, because I was on drugs

Varney died right before I started high school and I never saw Stanton around, though we do have Harry Dean Stanton fest. Crispin Glover was the special guest last year. I live in Houston now, but still, KY ain't half bad.

(I had to look it up so I didn't feel so old) I can't believe Varney died 14 years ago. Also I forgot to star this :)

yes, most younger folks know him only as slinky-dog, one of his last roles before his death
